Counter – Modernization

Do you know what Counter – Modernization is?
I’m thinking about the concept and its indicators.
Does Counter – Modernization means rejection of all performance of modernity like high technology, new science and etc?
In this case how want to lives one who embrace in counter – modernization? Is it possible that one lives without electricity, telephone, car, etc? If yes, how and if not than what says counter – modernization?

What is Identity?

One of the most important problematic of the new society is the problem of Identity. After the age of Enlightenment, very often sociologists and social thinkers have thought about the challenge between modern and traditional identity.
Before that we focus on the matter, it would be necessary to clear what we understand under the concept of identity.

Identity, as I learned from Peter Berger, has two aspects: subjective and objective.

In subjective side of identity man define himself as a particular person with particular character. This definition comes mainly from family and religion.

Objective identity is what society says you are that. In this definition, history is a concomitant stream of society.
Objective identity is formed through the process of socialization.

The private (subjective) and public (objective) identity have a dialectical relationship.
